Homes Away from Home

At Homes Away From Home we think the best way to practice English is to live with an English-speaking family. We find families in Los Angeles who are interested in boarding international students and we find international students who are interested in living with those families while they study here. We are very careful and very selective. We place students in the homes of families we know and like. People who have made their homes especially attractive, pleasant and safe.

Student rooms are private and fully furnished with comfortable beds, storage space, a place to study and plenty of light. Bathrooms are generally shared with another student or family member. Students are invited to eat breakfast and dinner with their hosts and to take part in family activities. Host parents help students settle in and find their way around Los Angeles.

Students generally stay from a month to a year. The cost of room and board is $750 per month. There is a $150 registration and processing fee.
